Quite unexpectedly, this beautiful lake in a fantastic landscape was on the path of another tour. Certainly even more inviting in summer with the many bathing areas.
The name of the lake inevitably made me think of a cold drink, but it was too early for that in the morning (no beer before four!😉)

We are taking a short vacation at Hopfensee. The weather got good again just in time and we went for a walk around Hopfensee to explore the area. The mountain scenery is always impressive for a northern German like me. Now I am enjoying the direct view of the lake with the mountains in the background from the balcony. 😍😍😍
