Actually, I wanted to go back on the Mittelland Canal after the lock... but spontaneously I went via Kirchrode and a bit into Eilenriede, because the nice weather also has a disadvantage for cyclists: an extremely large number of pedestrians. The canal is very popular with walkers, which I understand, because I often walk there myself :-)
