It is the northernmost point of Denmark! There you can stand with one leg in the Skagerrak and with the other in the Kattegat. A great experience to be there!

Today I was able to put a small but nice tour online on our Aida trip. We walked from the parking lot to the point where the North Sea and Baltic Sea meet. The beach is beautiful and the "tip" is simply worth seeing.

We started at Vippefyret, a reconstruction of the oldest Danish beacon with an open basket (1627), right next to Det Hvide Fyr, which replaced Vippefyret in 1747 and was Denmark's first brick lighthouse. Both were not recorded on Komoot, however, and could only be walked about 300 meters😅

A short walk along the beach and through the dunes on the Kattegat. This is where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet, the waves dance samba against each other. A powerful and wonderful place!

Break after the first half of the Bunken/Skagen bike tour - you could also say we took a breather before we have to pedal against the strong wind 😁.

Grenen is the northernmost point of Denmark and is where two seas, Skagerrak and Kattegat, meet. It is therefore the only place where you can stand with one foot in the Baltic Sea and the other foot in the North Sea.

Essential in Skagen with the junction of the North Sea and the Baltic

When you're in Northern Denmark, Grenen is somehow a part of it. But it is "just" a beautiful beach. Today was the first time in 14 days that we met a few more other Germans. Otherwise only Danes.

Small tour "at the end of the world" - where the two seas Skagerrak and Kattegat meet and where you can stand with one foot in each sea.

It is truly a fascinating experience to stand at the very tip of Jutland and mainland Europe and watch the waves of the two seas merge and break over Skagen's reef.
