Showers. Dry. Followed by more showers. There is no drizzle here. We take the steam train (with our own brand of beer), I buy a more durable rain jacket. According to the eternal rules of buying equipment, this should stop the showers immediately.

Well trodden paths with fine views of Blencathra, Great Dodd and High seat. Refreshments on route from Low bridge end farm house serving tea and home made cakes.
My parent's first ascent of High Rigg (Naddle Fell) - we had a nice breakfast out in the morning and got finished before the rain came. We enjoyed a drink in the Pheasant Inn (Bassenthwaite) afterwards.
