A beautiful, varied hike through forest and across lava fields. The volcano with the rounded summit is Monte Chinyero, which erupted in 1909 for 10 days.

It was a nice hike and the weather cooperated. Since I don't like to go on long tours anymore, I've created a shorter one here. Sturdy shoes are highly recommended as some stones are a bit sharper. The approach to the parking lot is a gravel road but easy to do with any vehicle.
