You can take good care of yourself here. Coaches also stop here, so it seems overcrowded.

Very beautifully made compass rose. If you look closely you can see engravings in the wood.

Stone Cairns at the Arctic Circle

Highlight • Monument

The travelers build all kinds of figures out of the stones lying around. This is in the tradition of the Sami, who used to mark their routes with such cairns. There are hundreds of these cairns here - anyone looking for a way would always walk in circles. There is also a sign pointing out that it is forbidden to create these cairns.
It is still nice to look at 😌

Just minutes from the center of the Arctic Circle, one can escape the crowds and find some solitude and tranquility. Sturdy shoes make sense, otherwise it is not a particular sporting challenge. Several small waterfalls and beautiful views reward the little effort.

We are at the Arctic Circle and are doing a little midnight walk. We walk from 00:30 - 01:30, which is exactly midnight because of daylight saving time.

Unfortunately, the mountains are blocking the sun and it is also very cloudy, which reduces the effect of the sun.
