This lake, forgotten somewhere between the Baltic Sea coast, Lake Schwerin and the vastness of Mecklenburg, is really worth a visit. The village of Neukloster is quite busy by local standards, and when the weather is nice the path around the lake and the bathing areas are also quite busy.

Used the mini Easter vacation today and circled the Neuklostersee at sunrise. Hardly met anyone, but wild geese, deer and herons. And then immediately rewarded with a delicious breakfast... There can hardly be a better start to the day :)
