My absolute highlight of the entire Iceland road trip! Kerlingarfjöll - "the mountains of the good woman" - is by far the most spectacular geothermal area in Iceland for me. The colorful rhyolite mountains here are up to 1,477 meters high and leave every visitor speechless. You really have to pinch yourself several times to realize that this absolutely crazy …
