The little bridge is not much these days. It was the former border between Brabant and Holland, where tolls were collected. This allowed the then lord Willem van Duvenvoorde to build Strijen Castle (Slottebosse tower).

This is the place at the small suspension bridge, here you can relax.

A fish passage has been installed in this weir so that fish can pass more easily. With information panel.

The Arsenal or Landsmagazijn was built between 1770 and 1778 at the inner harbour, designed by architect Philips Willem Schonck. The stonework of the square-shaped building was made by stonemason Guilliam Carrier. Cast iron cannons were placed on either side of the entrance in the front façade at the harbour as a bollard. The coat of arms of the Province of Holland is placed in the arch field of the front façade. The rear façade of the building, located behind the Hoofdwacht on the Venestraat, is almost identical to the front façade. Until 1950, the building was located at the inner harbour, which was filled in that year. For years, the building has been a party centre under the name 'Fort Sint-Gertrudis'.
