Very cozy café in the wagon at the old train station museum. Seating outside and inside. Parking for cyclists possible. Easy to navigate hiking and cycling path.

Here you can cross the Prüm at a really beautiful spot. And the bridge makes a funny sound when you cross :D

Settlement above the Prüm that was finally abandoned in 1990 (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staudenhof_(Mauel)). Of most of the buildings, only the "outer shell" remains, the others are completely barricaded. Nevertheless, it is a special place that is worth a visit :)

Exciting little trail down to Waxweiler. There are one or two tricky spots. Don't let the overgrown entry unsettle you.

If you are in the area, you should visit the Marian Column. For mountain bikers, there is this beautiful trail up to the pillar and later down again. Attention, 1 - 2 spots are really tricky on the descent.

The memorial with its many thank you plaques is always a popular place of worship. Every year on a May Sunday there is a procession from the parish church to the Marian column. In 1998 the parish community celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Marian Column with several hundred believers. In recent years, the taller trees have increasingly blocked the view of the Marian Column. In 2004, the Board of Trustees of today's Gerhard Faber Foundation took on the task of redesigning the entire complex.
