Small, flowing single trail, relatively easy to ride, preferably from SW to NE, i.e. downhill. The starting point is a beautiful vantage point. The path leads into the trail, which leads further down towards Falkenstein Castle.

I like to recommend a hike from Vianden to Falkenstein Castle over the ridge. You can't get to the castle. But the way is awesome!

Coming from the main road, downhill to Falkenstein Castle and further down to the Our, you can stop here for a moment and enjoy the view. But don't pass here too early, the valley is often still covered in fog.

Bridge between Falkenstein Castle and Bivels. In the mornings you can often see anglers here. The reservoir is shrouded in fog a little longer. If you want to enjoy the view, don't come here too early

The perfect place to rest with a view of the reservoir, where a beaver is up to mischief. Good luck with possible observation attempts.

Unfortunately, the ruins can no longer be visited. It seems to be quite dilapidated now. The castle is now privately owned. One of the outbuildings is inhabited privately. A beautiful view of the old walls makes up for the steep climb to the ruins.

The ruins of Falkenstein Castle rise on a steep mountain spur high above the Our valley. Below the castle, the Our winds in a distinctive loop, which here forms the border with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Amazing castle ruins, the fact that you cannot go inside just makes it more mysterious and appealing. Some great nature and views around too. When you continue on the path, that gets rather steep, there's an excellent viewpoint later on with a bench on your left, that allows great view of the Falkenstein castle from high
