When strolling through Lavis, this garden on the mountainside catches your eye. Very interesting! It costs 2 euros to enter without a guided tour, but you only need a map and you can only visit the lower part. With a guided tour, it costs 9.50 euros. This is in Italian and can be booked online and you can see the whole garden.

Beautiful little town with an original, historic old town center, which consists of many small alleys and streets. Numerous archaeological finds prove that Lavis has been inhabited since ancient times. A little detour from the main route is worthwhile; you can linger here for a while; there are several sights to discover.

The Lamar lakes are two small basins of Alpine origin, separated by a landslide. Lake Santo, located further south, is smaller than the northern basin. The latter is Lake Lamar which is able to seduce you with its turquoise waters and its banks rich in vegetation. This is a great place to stop for a refreshing break during your ride.

You are facing Lake Lamar, once joined to the other basin further south, Lake Santo – The two lakes were divided by a landslide. This picturesque alpine lake is located behind the Paganella mountain and has both a particular rocky conformation and a considerable depth, which is why it has become a well-known diving destination as well as a popular bathing beach in the summer months.

Super nice vantage point on the Tour AroundPaganella. Attention also downhill until then many carrying passages and difficult passages.

At Lavis, just before Trento (driving south) there is another small detour away from the Etsch. The view here is really beautiful!
