The Bereguardo Bridge was built in 1374 by the Visconti family. It was initially built to allow the nobles to cross the Ticino River and easily reach Lomellina, where there were large forests rich in game. In 1378, it was rebuilt, and watchtowers were placed at both ends. In 1449, the Sforza family built a more stable bridge on the remains of the previous bridge, which was finally used for the passage of people and carts. The boats were made of wood and were anchored on the river by weights placed under the water. In 1913, the wooden barges were replaced with concrete ones. Today, the bridge has been remodeled several times, and the barges replaced.

The Santuario Madonna della Bozzola is a diocesan reference point for pastoral care, located in Tromello, province of Pavia, region of Lombardy. This sanctuary, dedicated to Our Lady of the Bozzola, is a place of encounter, reflection and spiritual growth. The shrine has its origins in a miraculous apparition of Maria Benedetta in 1465. Maria invited the faithful to build a chapel and later a church in her honor on this site. The church, founded at the beginning of the 16th century, has a cotto facade with frescoes in the lunettes of the portals. Inside is a painting of Our Lady of the Bozzola. The shrine was restored in 1983.

The Naviglio Langosco (in Lombard: Nivili Langosch) is a canal fed by the Ticino River. The purpose of this canal is to irrigate the fields in the Novarese and Lomellina regions. It was realized in the 17th century on the initiative of Count Guido Langosco. The count ordered the construction of the canal, which was designed by engineer Pietro Antonio Barca, and work began in 1613 and was completed in 1665. The canal begins in the province of Novara, north of the Ponte di Turbigo, and flows then through the areas of Galliate, Romentino, Trecate, and Cerano. It then leaves Piedmont and enters Lombardy, where it flows past Cassolnovo, Vigevano (where it crosses the Terdoppio), and Gambolò. It ends near Cascina Montagione, in the municipality of Tromello. 🏞️🇮🇹

The Bereguardo pontoon bridge was built for the first time in 1347 at the behest of the Visconti family. Since then it has always been rebuilt following the same technique where the vehicle surface rests on barges. This technique allows the bridge to adapt to the river's water flows by following its level. The current barges are made of concrete and steel and were positioned in 1913. Today the Bereguardo bridge remains one of the most characteristic views of this area, nevertheless its future is uncertain. Due to the drought, the barges very often rest on the bottom of the Ticino, making the vehicle surface irregular and difficult to cross.
