Tower-shaped rock formation just before the border between Germany and France.

A few meters from the hiking trail is this striking, smaller rock formation.

These three large ponds of the Wengelsbach are located on the German side; the (concrete) cycle path that runs along here is in France, as can be seen from the border stones.

The rock is located approximately 500 meters southeast of the southern summit, on the French side of the Schlossberg with the Hohenburg Castle. The mountain is located directly on the German-French border in the Wasgau mountain range, the French part of which is known there as the Northern Vosges. A mountain ridge runs from the southern summit over the Löwenstein to the rock.

Here you'll find delicious food and drinks at fair prices. A larger menu is available for lunch and dinner. In the afternoon, a smaller hiking menu with salads, snack plates, snails, etc.

Beautiful "Devil's Table" located above the forest path. It's directly on the Franco-German Castle Trail.

Easy to miss as the inscription is quite faded

The ruins sit imposingly on their freestanding sandstone plinth. Steps carved into the rock allow you to explore the former castle complex and enjoy the view of the Palatinate Forest.
