Near the old wayside cross, there's a seating area with a table. This is one of the last opportunities to take a rest on the Trulber Sandhasentour before returning to Trulben.

The path branches off near the signpost at the top. A green barrier stands at the entrance; the barrier was open during my visit.

Be sure to make a detour to the Krappenhöhle cave and walk the circular path through it. The colors of the Bundsandstein rock are fascinating. It reminded me a lot of the play of colors on the Altschlossfelsen rocks.

From the path below (->Trualber Sandhasentour), it's about 20-30 meters in elevation and 50-80 meters across country to the rock. The rock is probably more accessible from the upper hiking trail. The colors fascinated me.

In addition to the fountain and bench, there's also a seating area with a table nearby. This is the perfect place for anyone needing a rest.
