The Martello refuge (or Marteller Hütte in German) is located at about 2,160 meters above sea level, at the top of the Val Martello and well inside the Stelvio National Park. Stunning lake to reach from different routes.

Totally idyllic mountain hut with overnight accommodation. Quiet and secluded with a great panoramic view and a small lake. Don't despair when hiking to the hut: you can only see it when you are right in front of it, as it is very sheltered. And watch out: the kitchen closes at 3 p.m.

The Martello refuge (Marteller Hütte) is located at 2,610 meters above sea level, in the Stelvio National Park. The landscape that surrounds it is dotted with peaks that exceed 3,000 meters above sea level. Once you reach the refuge you can delight yourself with exquisite traditional South Tyrolean dishes.

Beautiful view from the terrace. Huttenwaard Bruno is very nice and clearly does his work with passion. He also guides tours and works at the Bergrettung. Tasty food, lots of choice, also vegetarian.

Very, very many people

You can eat well and cheaply here with a wonderful view of the lake.

There are many nice places to take a break on the shore of the lake. The lake tour takes about 40 minutes and is recommended.
