MALGA PONTARA ... It is a wonderful and discreet place. From May 12, 2024, the new management started offering: bar service, traditional cuisine and 25 beds in Alpine refuge style. Bathroom and hot shower. Large outdoor spaces.

Agriturismo Malga Stramaiolo (low), 1678 m. The milk produced in this mountain hut is transformed into cheese, ricotta, yogurt and butter. Here they produce a Slow Food cheese called Nostrano di Piné as well as excellent cured meats. There is a restaurant service with the possibility of overnight stays and a welcoming place to stop.

Finally open in season as a nice refreshment point (from 2024) given that it was not used for mountaineering and mountain pastures (but as a holiday home for associations and groups). The municipality of Bedollo, which owns it, has done well. Best wishes to the new managers.

The Stramaiolo hut is located at around 1,600 meters above sea level on the Pinè plateau, not far from Baselga. It has recently been renovated and there are eight rooms with bathrooms and a dining room that seats more than 50 people. On summer days it is also possible to have lunch on the splendid terrace overlooking the mountains of eastern Trentino.
