Lake Braies (Italian: Lago di Braies) lies at an altitude of approximately 1,500 meters in the Prags Valley, a side valley of the Puster Valley. It is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the region and is often called the "Pearl of the Dolomites" due to its clear, emerald green to turquoise-blue shimmering water. The Dreischusterhütte refuge, at 1,626 m, is located in the Val Campo di Dentro, in the Sesto Dolomites. Open from June to October, it offers typical Tyrolean cuisine and overnight accommodation. Easily accessible after a short hike from the Antoniusstein hiking car park. This can be reached by car before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. Access is blocked by a barrier during the day. Then you can take a shuttle bus from the Innerfeldtal hiking car park, near the Alte Säge restaurant.
