In my opinion, the lake is one of the most beautiful in the Dolomites. However, bathing is only for the toughest. The campsite restaurant has a delicious Calzone pizza!

Lake Toblach lies at 1259 m in the Cave Valley, which connects Dobbiaco with Cortina, and is located in the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park. With its diverse riparian vegetation is an ideal resting and nesting place for many different waterfowl - even for those who brood only sporadically and irregularly in South Tyrol. During bird migration in spring and autumn many a rare migratory bird can be seen here.

The circular route around the lake is definitely worth it. Along the way you have the opportunity to learn a lot about the lake, nature and the surrounding area. Recommended.
