    The Dürrensee is wonderful for bathing in summer, as it has no natural outlet and is therefore warmer than lakes at a similar altitude. There is a pebbly beach on the northern shore. The turquoise-blue waters can easily be circumnavigated on foot. Surrounded in the east by the Sesto Dolomites and in the west by the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, the panorama is also unique. If you like it more challenging, you can start a mountain tour to the surrounding peaks here or let off steam in the climbing garden.

      Surrounded by a fantastic mountain and summit scenario lies the Dürrensee in the inner Höhlensteintal. This cool wet is one of the three largest natural lakes in Alta Pusteria in South Tyrol and impresses not only by its spectacular colors, but also by its ideal location.

          The Dürrensee is easy to reach by car. It is a wonderful place to relax, or to enjoy something delicious at the nearby restaurant. The Dürrensee is also a starting point for many beautiful walks, including the route up to Monte Piano. A tough climb, but really worth it for the avid hiker!
