Glurns, the smallest town in South Tyrol, impresses with its completely preserved city walls and medieval flair. Winding alleys, arcades, and defensive towers create the town's historic charm and invite exploration.

You should stop here; there are interesting views in all directions. Unfortunately, the wind is usually really bad here, so it's best to move on as quickly as possible!

An artificial lake located at an altitude of 1,498 meters, Lake Resia (Reschensee in German) is located in the municipality of Curon Venosta and is the largest in South Tyrol. It is particularly well-known because the bell tower of the old town of Curon still emerges from the waters of the lake.

For us it was a somewhat strenuous climb towards Reschen.

With a bit of luck, you can get a wonderful view from the dam wall, beyond St. Valentin and Lake Haider, to "King Ortler" in Vinschgau - South Tyrol's highest mountain. 🤩
