The Salto plateau is a perfect place for those looking for a relaxing day immersed in nature. Open and breathtaking panorama, easy trails suitable for everyone, even families. A quiet place to breathe fresh air and enjoy the peace of the landscape.

Easy to reach parking, with many spaces available. In high season it is advisable to arrive early. It costs 5 euros per day and is a great starting point for many excursions in the surrounding area. There is also a kiosk where you can have a drink before leaving.

Between the Raben and Giovo hills, and the villages of Frassineto and San Genesio Atesino, the Salto area has almost more dirt paths than buildings. In this part of the province of Bolzano between the Sarentino and Adige valleys, nature is uncontaminated and cycling or walking here is truly magical.

Giogo della Croce (or Kreuzjoch in German) is 2,086 meters high and is a peak in the Sarntal Alps. Getting here, via mule tracks and paths through the pastures, is beautiful: you can enjoy beautiful views of the Dolomite peaks. At the top there is a wooden cross and a sort of monument thanks to which you can recognize the surrounding peaks.
