Viking Museum Haithabu – A Window into the World of the Norsemen The Viking Museum Haithabu in Busdorf is one of Germany's most important archaeological museums and a true highlight. The museum presents spectacular archaeological finds, models, and multimedia installations that bring Viking life between the 8th and 11th centuries to life. Seven authentically reconstructed buildings vividly illustrate how people lived back then – from everyday life to craftsmanship. Since 2018, Haithabu and the Danevirke have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site – a testament to their historical significance. 🕒 Opening Hours & Prices Museum: Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission: Adults €9, Children €3, Families €19, Concessions €7. Café Haithabu: Open Wednesday to Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM – Ideal for a break with a view of the Haddebyer Noor. The museum is located in the heart of a nature reserve with ramparts, burial mounds, and hiking trails. Popular routes lead to the settlement from Busdorf or Holm, for example, and offer fantastic views of the Schlei fjord and Schleswig Cathedral. https://haithabu.de/
