The mill - "Jenny" - is the landmark of Achtrup. The windmill of the Kellerholländer* type with sails and compass rose was built in 1889 and, with the founding of "Das Kinderhaus zur Mühle" in 1984, converted to use as an apartment and children's home. The property on which the mill is located has a total area of 8 hectares and offers an adventure playground, soccer field, horse riding center and gardens for the children.
