It is a nature reserve of Roermond. It is located between the Maas and the Oolderplas. Wild horses and cattle, beavers and many water birds live here

The nature reserve Ool is somewhat hidden at the end of the headland behind the dike in the south of Roermond. There is also a parking lot here. You can also go there by bike, and there is a small beach from which you can eg. comes on the lake with a SUP or kayak.
