A beautiful nature reserve with plenty of water. Dogs must be kept on a leash.

Nature reserve in the Limburg Peel near Blitterswijck. 't Sohr is an old Maas arm that was cut off from the Maas in the 15th century. In 2012, a climate buffer was created in the area. Now a Maas channel meanders through the vast landscape. A landscape in which grasslands, rough areas, reed fields and marsh forests alternate. If you are looking for peace and quiet in the busy North Limburg landscape, this is the place to find it. Nature embraces the area and seizes its opportunity here. You can enjoy wonderful walks there. After a wet period, the nature reserve can be very marshy.

These folding chairs are big, bigger biggest! Just enjoy the beautiful surroundings in peace. This was the inspiration for Limburg artist Patrick Kusters to create ten enormous seats along the Limburg Maasroute. With sustainable, robust materials, such as wood and steel, the artworks fall within the 'cradle to cradle' principle.

Depending on the weather, the crossing can be a little adventure and wet feet are almost guaranteed.

Here the path is washed over when the water level is higher and you should take the warning of slippery ground very seriously and prefer to push your bike over the stones at the edge, otherwise you will quickly get wet feet.
