Park Valkenberg is the green oasis in the city center of Breda. A park with royal allure where, until the early nineteenth century, only the castle residents and their guests were welcome. The Aa or Weerijs was formed by meltwater from the last ice age. The length of the Aa or Weerijs is 36.4 km. It rises in Belgium where it arises from a confluence of the Grote Aa in Wuustwezel and the Kleine Aa in Brecht. The stream then has several names, such as Kleine Aa or Weerijs Beek and Grote Beek.
