Memorial forest De Spinder is a small-scale, personal memorial forest north of Tilburg. For your memorial tree or other memorial monument, a private – with wooded banks – spacious field of approximately 10 square meters is available between tall, sun-permeable trees with plenty of privacy. Or you can choose a spot near a tree or a bush on a collective field.

Park Valkenberg is the green oasis in the city center of Breda. A park with royal allure where, until the early nineteenth century, only the castle residents and their guests were welcome. Nowadays it is a wonderful meeting place. Students look for the sun or the shade of the centuries-old trees. Fathers and mothers let their offspring play in the playground while they sit on the terrace of the T-House. Even the geese feel at home there. Falconry The park owes its name to a falcon house that stood on the edge and from which the castle residents and their guests practiced falconry. Live music regularly plays in the park.

One of the bigger bug hotels I've ever seen. Unfortunately, the decay is starting to set in a bit, some maintenance should actually be done.

Two beautiful, playfully designed insect hotels that were newly built in 2019. Insect hotels are special structures designed to provide a living and nesting place for various types of insects, such as bees, bumblebees, butterflies and other beneficial insects. They consist of different compartments and materials, such as branches, reeds, bamboo, loam and wood, and are designed to meet the specific needs of the insects, such as shelter, food and nectar sources. Insect hotels are important for nature because they contribute to the protection and enhancement of biodiversity.

The Capuchin Route runs through a beautiful, hilly forest of pines and deciduous trees. Interspersed with the wild shifting sand plain of the Loonse and Drunense Duinen where you can enjoy beautiful views. From De Rustende Jager, follow the cycle path in the direction of Giersbergen. After about twenty meters, follow the red posts into the forest and follow the red arrows.

Probably the highest elevation in the national park allows a somewhat broader overview of this wonderful landscape through one or the other gap between the trees.

Park Vredeoord consists of the combined gardens of villa Vredeoord and those of the former hotel Musis Sacrum in the heart of Dongen. The Musis Sacrum community building was built in 1885 and features a leafy garden with a pond. The garden behind villa Vredeoord is an English landscape garden. These types of gardens came into fashion between 1850 and 1925 as a counterpart to the French garden. The rolling English landscape was the starting point for this type of garden. Typical for an English landscape garden are a layout with hills, lawns, groups of trees, winding paths and beautiful sightlines. In 1949 a liberation chapel was built on the Nieuwstraat. When the municipality bought villa Vredeoord in 1952, the aviary was added, and in 1974 the garden of Musis Sacrum was added to the park. There are 35 species of trees in the park. The Park Pleasure Foundation has realized a tree path, where 18 trees information boards have been placed. A visit is definitely worth it.
