Passing Lake Idro and heading towards Capovalle, the first traces of Lake Valvestino appear, captivating with the color of the water, intensely blue in summer and enveloping blue in winter. The shadows of the surrounding mountains create suggestive reflections, giving the landscape an atmosphere of extraordinary beauty. This artificial basin, regulated by the imposing Ponte Cola dam on the Toscolano stream, offers scenery that evokes the Norwegian fjords.
