The Parco delle Cave di Brescia is a local park of supra-municipal interest that covers an area of about 960 hectares. It extends in the south-east area of the city, on the agricultural and natural areas of the districts of Buffalora, Sanpolino, San Polo Case, San Polo Cimabue and San Polo Parco, also including groundwater lakes, of extractive origin, which give name to the whole complex.
