The Lion's Head Bridge was dismantled in 1992 and rebuilt in 1993 (it's a listed building). This is evident from the approximately 1 meter of concrete in the lower section. It was necessary because the clearance height was insufficient due to electrification in the 1980s, and the track was lowered, often flooding during rain. It was my construction site in 1993. It's a great place to visit! Regards, EO

The station was opened for freight traffic in 1853 and for passenger traffic in 1859. From 1911 to 1975 (passenger traffic) and until the early 1990s (freight traffic), Karstädt was a connecting station to the Westprignitz circular railway. The classicist reception building, together with an outbuilding, the goods shed and the paving of the forecourt, is a listed building. It is just a shame that the DB has once again allowed a station building to completely decay.

The Löwenkopfbrücke is a bridge over the Berlin-Hamburg railway near Streesow. The listed bridge from the early days of the railways, built in 1846, is one of the oldest bridges over railway lines, possibly even the oldest surviving bridge over railway lines in Germany.

The building with a retracted, square choir in mixed masonry from 1726. The octagonal west tower, presumably after reconstruction by Friedrich August Stüler in 1852 with a slate top in the neo-renaissance style. Blocked in 1980 due to dilapidation, the planned demolition in 1982 not carried out, security since 1993. Acceptance of the spire damaged by storm in 2000, emergency roof 2001. The ship's roof structure from 1900 total loss, reconstruction in 2013. The crypt annex of the von Kleist family repaired in 2010, two sandstone sarcophagi restored in 2015. In the apse, colored stained glass window made by Ferdinand Müller from Quedlinburg in 1906, seized in 1972, restored in 2008 and reinstalled. The coat of arms of the von Kleist family repaired in 2010. The church in Stavenow is open every day around the clock. https://www.kirchenkreis-prignitz.de/stavenow.html

Sparingly structured neo-Gothic brick building from 1895, with a short, flat-closed choir and symmetrical extensions. The west end laid out as an unfinished double tower facade. The new building replacement for an older previous building from the 17th century, this one in half-timbered with brick roofing. The former boarded-up west tower with wood shingle roofing probably dates back to the 15th century. So far in the parish archives, soon in the church interior of art-historically valuable chasuble (chasuble) from the 14th century, made from a medieval Italian textile, enriched around 1440/50 with a tree cross with the crucified Jesus (Bohemian embroidery), partial restoration 2016. The organ 1897 by Schlag & Sons from Schweidnitz (Silesia). https://www.kirchenkreis-prignitz.de/karstaedt-kirche.html
