Beautiful landscape without car traffic, cycling is particularly fun here

When you see the trees standing in the water, you have the feeling of being in another world or another time.

The assumed beginning of the actual Oder-Havel Canal is today's mouth of the Oranienburger Havel. It leads through the Lehnitzsee, which previously did not belong to the Havel, and reaches the Lehnitz lock. The canal continues for the most part following the earlier Malzer Canal and then replaces the older Finow Canal up to its eastern end. Today's Havel-Oder waterway is essentially the waterway from Plötzensee to Hohensaaten that was opened on June 17, 1914 under the name Großschiffahrtsweg Berlin – Stettin.

A smooth, level bicycle path leads through the forest at the beginning, then the path turns into a "bicycle road" and finally leads through a number of organic farms and their fields. This route shows once again how beautiful, multifaceted and inviting the Brandenburg landscape can be.

Nice clean lake. Here you can swim, picnic, ride a bike, hike. Everything a natural heart desires.

Very nice and smooth route. Also good for families with children.

Beautiful bicycle road, Berlin - Copenhagen cycle path and Havel cycle path. River cycle paths do not mean that you can see them all the time, there are better places for that.
