The wooden footbridge path through the moor on the Tegeler Fließ is a true natural paradise for all hikers. Here you can enjoy many special views of the surrounding area while you stroll through the moor. The wooden walkway takes you through the original landscape, where you can observe animals such as birds and insects. The flair of the Holzsteg path is simply indescribable. You feel as if you are in the middle of nature and can forget everything around you. The peace and quiet that reigns here is simply incredible. This boardwalk is wonderful to walk on, but not in late autumn when there are a lot of leaves, as it gets slippery

The assumed beginning of the actual Oder-Havel Canal is today's mouth of the Oranienburger Havel. It leads through the Lehnitzsee, which previously did not belong to the Havel, and reaches the Lehnitz lock. The canal continues for the most part following the earlier Malzer Canal and then replaces the older Finow Canal up to its eastern end. Today's Havel-Oder waterway is essentially the waterway from Plötzensee to Hohensaaten that was opened on June 17, 1914 under the name Großschiffahrtsweg Berlin – Stettin.
