Wild blueberries

The path along the shore of Lake Nehmitz is practically non-existent. There are many fallen trees in the way and there are so many plants and leaves that only a few places now reveal a path.

There is a narrow path here near the former power station. It is also very easy to ride on a touring bike without any problems.

I have walked this riverside path several times. The path is becoming less and less recognizable and in the meantime you have to make several large arches into the forest, as the fallen trees often cannot be crossed. Without Komoot I would have got lost there for sure....

Great and easy to hike and natural path on the southern shore of the Nehmitzsee, mostly slightly elevated above the lake.

In the northwestern part, the path has not been cleared since autumn 2019 and various fallen trees line and cross the path (as of summer 2020). That makes the hike much more exciting; o).

There is now a "natural development area", i.e. everything is left to nature. That explains the "rustic" condition. Absolute calm here.

The path on the shores of Lake Nehmitz is hardly or not at all recognizable over long distances. He seems to us no longer maintained. Many fallen trees have to be bypassed or climbed over. Otherwise, the path under the high beech trees with a view over the lake is simply fantastic.
