A small update on the ferry. The old ferry is currently still running, but this will soon be replaced by a solar ferry. The price of the ferry with a bicycle has increased to 1.50 euros. Still reasonable, in my opinion.

For currently 1.5 euros per bike with a person you can get across. Luckily the old ferry is still running

The bridge is currently not passable: Information from the train to the Lindaunisbrücke: The bridge has been closed to passers-by since March 6, 2023. In the period that follows, we dismantle the folding part and set up the temporary bridge for pedestrians and cyclists. It is planned to complete this work in Dec. 2023. The monument protection for the 1924 bascule bridge, on which cars and trains shared a lane, was lifted. This made the bridge 99 years old. The new building is in the same place.

A place worth seeing with its white houses. Also suitable as a starting point for cycling tours in Schwansen and on the Schlei. In 2022 the parking lot was still free of charge. Coming early secures a parking space with a rear carrier.

The place is so idyllic. The nostalgic houses and the manicured gardens are beautiful. The cafe in town invites you to linger.

Almost all houses are thatched.
