If you get hungry between meals, there are two restaurants at the harbor. Or simply enjoy the view over the small harbor and the dike foreland, watching the ships entering and leaving the Elbe.

In the flat north it is not that easy to find a vantage point. But from the dikes, like here from the Süderdeich, you can enjoy wonderful views over the wide landscape, the lush salt marshes and the North Sea (when the tide is not out). Watch the sheep grazing, let the fresh breeze blow around your nose and just let your gaze wander around. It doesn't always have to be high. It's best to start your walk from Friedrichskoog and just follow the dike for as long as you feel like it. As you will see, there is a lot of space around you.

The bank is right on the path. From there you have a beautiful view of the Elbe. The right place for a quiet, relaxing break. Very helpful.

Tastes good! A farm brewery has been located on this site since 1775. The brewery itself was founded in 1884 by Christian Hintz and is still family-owned today. The brewery maintains an image that is linked to the landscape and traditions of the region - hence the decision to reintroduce the swing top in 1983.
