A very well-kept beer garden and a great ship-spotting spot right on the Kiel Canal. Those on a bikepacking tour can even stay overnight in a tiny home.

On my previous ferry trips across the NOK (Brunsbüttel, Fischerhütte, Breiholz, Hochdonn) you can find a restaurant (beer garden) here where it is really worth taking a break. The self-service restaurant has a wide selection of food and drinks. Here you can make yourself comfortable and watch the ships go by. The ferry trip is free - like all other ferries on the NOK.

Great, very well-kept beer garden right on the NOK and Hohenhörn ferry station. Definitely worth a stop.

Kanal 33 is currently open daily from 12:00 - 20:00 and is happy to welcome cyclists. You can enjoy a piece of cake and fresh coffee here. It's a great place to take a break during a long bike ride.
