Directly in front of the entrance to the Hallig there are two information boards about Helmsand, which provide information about the island, even though you are not allowed to visit it yourself.

On my previous ferry trips across the NOK (Brunsbüttel, Fischerhütte, Breiholz, Hochdonn) you can find a restaurant (beer garden) here where it is really worth taking a break. The self-service restaurant has a wide selection of food and drinks. Here you can make yourself comfortable and watch the ships go by. The ferry trip is free - like all other ferries on the NOK.
