The fishing port of Büsum is a central hub in the municipality of Büsum and is known as the largest shrimp fishing port on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein. It offers a blend of active fishing, tourist attractions, and a maritime atmosphere.

A very nice bike path that runs along the dike. In bad weather, there are only two shelters. There could be more.

The first Büsum lighthouse from 1878-1913 is located here! A true rarity!

The first wooden lighthouse was built in Büsum in 1878 and stood until 1913 on the dike where the entrance to the south beach is today. The fishing beacon with the number 730 was removed from the beacon list on October 10, 1913. The replica was built in 2007 at the end of the Büsum museum harbor. South of the new Meldorf harbor is the 532-hectare Kronenloch nature reserve. Here, for the first time, a saltwater biotope with a tidal influence was created on the west coast within a dike.
