Here you can cycle in a relaxed manner

The cycle path is at the foot of the dyke and not on top of it. This makes for a relaxed ride. Pay attention to the planet signs, the distance is shown to scale.

With a new owner, the Wulfsmühle ("Herzstykke") is now open again, but only Wed-Sat from 5:30 p.m. Only on Sundays it starts with breakfast and you can stop by all day

Behind the dike there is a beautiful cycle path that offers protection even in windy conditions. Sheep are very often found on the path.

I followed this strange route. It's bumpy on the Elbe dike and I had a headwind that day. Next time I plan the route according to the wind direction. I have the Windfinder app on my phone for this.

Gannets are exceptionally good fliers and divers. They also attract attention because of their size and coloration. In Germany they only breed on Heligoland and have been since 1991. These pretty seabirds can be observed there every year in their breeding colonies.
