Fantastic exotic trees can be found in the Diedorf Exotic Forest. The selection of conifers and deciduous trees is international. It ranges from the Chinese dawn redwood to the late-blooming American black cherry. The Japanese wingnut tree is also a must. And a Douglas fir, originally native to the North American Pacific coast, is now the proud record holder in the impressive Diedorf Exotic Garden at almost 60 meters.

The Webers Brünnele takes its name from a farm in Anhausen, whose meadow bordered it. The site was made available to nature conservation many years ago by the Strehler family. In 2017/18, the Diedorf local group of the Nature Conservation Association renovated the well trough. They did not want to let the water, which is of drinking quality, flow away from the spring uncontained.

Wellenburg Castle, also known as Fugger Castle, is a historic castle in the Bergheim district of Augsburg. It sits on a wooded spur above the valley of the Wertach and was redesigned in the neo-Gothic style. It has been owned by the Fugger-Babenhausen family since 1595 and is not open to the public. At the foot of the castle is the Wellenburg castle restaurant, which offers Bavarian-Swabian and traditional Austrian specialties. The chef Walter Nemeth places particular emphasis on authentic dishes from his homeland. The restaurant has inviting rooms and an idyllic beer garden under old chestnut trees, which is open daily from 11:30 a.m. when the weather is good. The area around Wellenburg Castle offers numerous options for hikers and cyclists. The adjacent “Western Forests” nature park invites you to go on long tours. There is also a well-maintained 18-hole mini golf course opposite the castle restaurant, which is ideal for family outings. Please note that the castle itself cannot be visited as it is privately owned. However, the castle restaurant welcomes visitors and offers an insight into the region's culinary tradition.

The Deuringer Heide is a unique nature reserve in the Augsburg - Western Forests Nature Park, near the Deuringen district of Stadtbergen, west of Augsburg.
