The circular wall on the Steineberger Ley is a prehistoric fortification on a basalt peak near Steineberg. The wall was made of basalt stones and possibly wooden logs. It probably dates back to around 200 BC and has been protected as a natural monument since 1939. There are 2 benches up here. A bench in each direction. In addition to the juniper heath, there are also great oak trees here.

Parking at the sports field. If there's no game, it's easy to park here.

Unfortunately the pump is missing and the source is only a trickle. You can neither drink it nor refresh yourself. It's so bleak that it doesn't invite you to linger. 😔
