Old church from 1927 was destroyed by war violence in 1944. A new church was consecrated in 1951. In 2004 the parish lost its independence. In 2009 it merged with six other parishes in the area of Steenbergen, thus forming the Sint-Annaparochie. Source Wikipedia

It is a square building with a domed tower, originally made of wood but rebuilt in brick. Above the entrance is a coat of arms made of Bentheim sandstone, made by Johan van Blommendael. At the BP petrol station, next to the entrance, there is a strawberry vending machine where you can get fresh strawberries every day. A bowl costs €3.50. Payment by card/NFC.

The Old Town Hall of Ooltgensplaat overlooking the harbor is the oldest building of its kind in Goeree-Overflakkee. It dates from 1616 and was built to a design by the famous 17th-century Flemish master builder Melchior van Harbach. François van Aerssen, the then master craftsman of Sint Adolfsland, to which Ooltgensplaat belonged, gave the building permit. The building has survived many disasters over the centuries, including several floods.
