A town fountain was designed in Grimmen to serve as a venue for artistic discussions. The fountain was designed by Thomas Reich, who studied at the School of Applied Arts in Schneeberg and now lives in Müggenwalde.

Built around 1760/1780, this building is today the only half-timbered house in this part of Grimmen's old town, the so-called "Kleinleichnahnviertel".

St. Mary's Church is the oldest building in Grimmen and dates back to the 13th century. The baptismal font, a Pieta and the late Gothic council and citizen pews are all that remain of the original furnishings.

The town hall in Grimmen in Western Pomerania is one of the testimonies of medieval brick Gothic architecture. Dendrochronological examinations of the wooden roof structure determined the felling date of the oldest rafters: 1393. It is therefore assumed that the tree dates from around 1400.

What is a must-see in medieval towns besides the market square and the fortifications? The church, of course. Its size still tells us something about the state of the town when it was first built. In contrast to today, the comparison is usually remarkable.

St. Mary's was built in the middle to the end of the 13th century and is therefore the oldest building in the city. After the construction of the three-aisled early Gothic hall church, a tower, choir and chapels were added. The Mauritius Chapel has been the hereditary burial place of the family of Baron Albrecht von Wackenitz zu Klevenow since 1615.
