After a major town fire in 1702, the gate was rebuilt with some structural modifications. From 1976 to 1991, it housed the Tribsees Local History Museum (a small local history museum), which later moved to the Stone Gate and finally to another building in 2007.

Small, pretty market square, with depictions of the area's history at the fountain - very cutely done in my opinion.

Unfortunately, the lookout tower is difficult to access because the existing path is almost overgrown. It's a good idea to bring binoculars to spot birds in the moor or to get even more of the view of the church in Bad Sülze.

The St. John's Church of Ticino is a Gothic brick building. The choir was built around 1343. The nave was added in the middle of the 14th century. The roof tower was built in 1728 and the vestibule dates from the end of the 19th century.
