It's nice that the old route has been preserved thanks to the cycle path, and that the station is at least still in the right context.

The use of this hiking trail is only recommended in rain-free times. The adjacent meadow was flooded and very muddy.

St. Mark's picture Between Zerf and Greimerath This old chapel stands in the middle of the forest (Schneeberg) between Zerf and Greimerath. It was built in 1839 and the year is written above the entrance. The chapel is square and measures 4 x 3.50 meters. A hipped roof with a cross in the middle rests on the thick masonry. Inside we find the representations of the Sorrowful Mother, St. Joseph with the child and St. Anthony with the child. A sandstone relief depicting St. Hubertus is embedded in the back wall above the Pietà. The saint kneels praying on the ground, behind him comes his horse, on the other side there is a stag. Three dogs jump around. Hubertus as the patron saint of the hunters fits in well with our wooded area. Looking at the chapel, one asks oneself: Why is it actually called St. Mark's picture? Nothing can be seen of a representation of St. Mark or his symbol, the lion. Here you have to go back to the history of this chapel: On August 16, 1581 a St. Mark's Cross was erected here, shortly before the boundary of Greimerath. So it could be a marrow cross. The Marx family from Zerf renewed this cross on May 10th, 1730, and their descendants built this chapel in 1839. It probably has nothing to do with St. Mark. To the right of the chapel is an old spruce on which the sign hangs: Imperial spruce, planted on January 17th, 1859. At that time the Prussian king was probably not yet emperor, but the massive spruce was certainly not given this name until later. On the last Friday in May there is a service here at the chapel, and after the Maundy Thursday service, the two parishes of Zerf and Greimerath go in processions to the St. Mark's picture, praying for all cross-bearers in the world. http://www.greimerath-hochwald.de/tourismus/sehenswuerdheiten

Banneux chapel Large, open Lady Chapel. It was built in 1963 by craftsmen from Greimerath. The plasterer Hermann Witt and the painter Alfons Backes had just passed their master craftsman examination. In gratitude, they built this chapel. They were supported by Banneux pilgrims; Because this is consecrated to Our Lady of Banneux, the Virgin of the Poor. http://www.greimerath-hochwald.de/tourismus/sehenswuerdheiten

You can read the explanation of how these two buildings came about on pictures 16 and 22. Everything is well explained there.
