During construction work on the Cerisierstrasse/Hetzerothsgarten/Maximinstrasse intersection, tracks from the old Moselbahn line were uncovered. Part of the track was then restored and rebuilt near the original location. From 1903 to 1968, the line ran between Longuich and Kirsch.

The shelter offers protection in all weathers and enough space for a larger group. There is also a barbecue area and a seating area.
