教会の北東、Reedijkの始まりの近くに、2003年に「Paardenwater」と呼ばれる庭園が造られました。この名前は、13世紀から18世紀にかけて、特に近くの水車への穀物の供給のためにさらに進む前に、馬や牛が渡るための場所があったことに由来します。中央には、Alexander Jansen（Stakka Concepts）がデザインした記念碑があり、2003年4月30日に除幕されました。記念碑のブロンズの要素は、Merchtemの棒高跳び選手を指しています。 (Inventaris Onroerend Erfgoed)

The history of St. Anne's Chapel dates back to the Middle Ages. However, it was destroyed in the fourth quarter of the 16th century. A new, wooden chapel was built in 1604. This was replaced by a stone chapel in 1639. In 1670, the chapel was enlarged, and around 1700, a complete reconstruction probably followed, which also included the creation of the Baroque façade. Grimbergen Abbey was likely involved in this construction phase, as the coat of arms of the then abbot of this abbey was incorporated into the façade. In 1721-1722, a new altar and rood screen were installed, among other things. The chapel was enlarged in 1782. The current altar dates from the third quarter of the 18th century and incorporates Rococo elements. Several repairs were carried out during the 19th and 20th centuries. The water tower, built in 1962 near the Roman Heirbaan, is a landmark in the landscape. As usual, it sits at the highest point in the landscape due to gravity. This ensures constant, optimal water pressure in the water distribution system.
