There's a large parking lot for the climb to the viewpoint. It's just a short detour from the main trail to the parking lot.

Moab is a desert gateway town built for adventurers, framed by red-rock arches and mesas all set along the Colorado River. It’s the ideal base for exploring world-famous landscapes like Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, plus slickrock mountain biking, rafting excursions, and scenic drives through rugged canyon country. Downtown offers a nice mix of good food, galleries, gear shops, and local hospitality.

Avoid crowded buses, bring your own bike or rent one in a local shop and ride this spectacular place! Family friendly, easy and flat. Start early during summer month and skip the heat!

City creek canyon road is closed about 3-4 miles up the canyon as of July 2025.

Potash Road is a popular road for cyclists. There is only one small raise on the entire road, so it is a good place for a fast ride. The road follows the river and along the way you will pass Wall Street, a popular climbing area, a famous petroglyphs area, and a roadside pullout where you can view dinosaur tracks.

Moab is a popular destination for road cyclists, with beautiful rides through Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Beyond cycling, the town attracts tourists with its vibrant outdoor culture, red rock landscapes, and endless adventure opportunities.

The Kamas area was first inhabited by Native Americans, including the Ute, Shoshone, and Snake tribes. In 1857, it was settled by Mormon pioneers, including Thomas Rhodes. Now, it is a great stop on the way to adventures in the Uinta Mountains. There are shops and restaurants to grab any supplies you need for your ride.
