This is the highest point of the Alpine Scenic Highway—meaning if you’ve made it here, it’s time to enjoy the downhill ahead. Nearby, you’ll find access to several trails, including Willow Hollow Trail, Horse Flat Trail, Ridge Trail, and Lame Hollow Trail.

City Park is beautiful, with ample green space, art displays, and breathtaking views. The park includes several large lawns that are ideal for a lovely picnic. There are also ball fields, basketball and volleyball courts, and restrooms, making it an excellent afternoon spot on a sunny day.

Builders broke ground on the creation of this temple in 2006, then finished it in 2009. It's the 129th temple of the Mormon Church.

The Kamas area was first inhabited by Native Americans, including the Ute, Shoshone, and Snake tribes. In 1857, it was settled by Mormon pioneers, including Thomas Rhodes. Now, it is a great stop on the way to adventures in the Uinta Mountains. There are shops and restaurants to grab any supplies you need for your ride.

The Union Pacific Rail Trail is an almost 27-mile trail that runs from Park City to Echo. While it is a popular spot for hiking and biking, but there is a good chance you will have the trail to yourself. The trail is mostly gravel, but this section in Park City is paved.

This challenging climb begins in the picturesque Big Cottonwood Canyon, a stunning alpine valley nestled in the Wasatch Range, and ascends toward Guardsman Pass. The early stretch features a gentle grade, but as you progress, the road becomes steeper with tight, twisting corners that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding canyon. As you near the top, the scenery intensifies, revealing dramatic mountain vistas, with the climb culminating at Guardsman Pass, where the panorama stretches across the valley. The descent is equally thrilling but requires caution due to sharp turns and the potential for hikers or parked cars along the road.
